The rare one owner low mileage very good condition car is for sale. The car has not been winter driven and has been stored in side all it's life. This is the last year for the holiday top no window pillar.The Royal Crown Landau package was completed by Hurst and has the Hurst sticker on the car. This is a number matching car with a Rocket 455 V8 with 190 horsepower and a turbo 400 automatic. Car has power windows and power locks. A recent appraisal was completed and is available, the car scored a 49 and was rated in the fine category. Car was sold in Amherst and is still located there. Selling for my parents. I saw a metallic red one as a new car in '76, but I can't recall seeing one since. I didn't realize that technically it is a Hurst Olds. You learn something every day...

Rocket 455....190hp....was the hurst goodies installed to make it at least sound quick?   

One hundred and ninety horsepower out of 455 cubes. What a rocket!

It is an oddball luxo-boat, like the odd '92 Buick Roadmaster Presidential that my neighbor from Massachusetts used to drive to PEI each summer.

Again I come to the defense of those catalytic converter HP ratings. That 190 HP is net which translates to about 275 Gross HP. If this had duals and no cat it would easily put out 315 HP. I looked up a 1971 Olds 88 and the 455 had 320 HP and did 0-60 in 9 seconds. This '76 can hit 60 in 11 seconds and this is a car that weights a tad under 6,000 lb. Its not as bad as we think when comparing apples to apples.
