I was under the impression that the hideaway head light option was not available on the SS427.

A rare chance to own a piece of Quebec automotive history.

This car was built at St. Therese on April 2 1968 and shipped to Arthur Sirois Ltd in Riveiere du Loup on April 4, 1968. Purchased new by a dentist in Cabano as a gift for his wife.

GM of Canada records confirm that only 14 Impala convertibles were built in Canada with the L36 427 engine option and only two were built with bench seat and the SS427 option (RPO Z24). This car is one of those two.

Unlike US-built 1968 SS427s (which can be easily faked and often are), this Canadian built convertible will always have excellent pedigree through GM of Canada documentation and cowl tag.

Factory options include SS427, 385hp 427 engine, turbo 400, 12 bolt and red line tires.

The original french owners manual and dealership brochure and GM documentation are included.

Lots of NOS parts and new stuff including top, upholstery and carpets, dual exhaust, brakes, rebuilt 427 (original 3916321 block was decked so numbers on pad are gone), lots of great options - tach and guages, tilt steering, power windows, tinted glass etc.

Although car was painted over 20 years ago it still looks great and the rebuilt 427 with lumpy cam runs fantastic. A great summer cruiser and solid investment.

Car is currently located in British Columbia - please note that this price INCLUDES DELIVERY TO MONTREAL.

Same owner past 17 years.

Sorry but no trades will be considered. Serious inquiries from genuine buyers only.

The hidden headlights are Caprice-only (though they look very cool on an SS427).

Only 2 Canadian-built Z24 non-Z03 Impala convertibles, plus another 12 Z03/Z24 convertibles (one of which caused a stir on this site in 2013.)

Certainly DaveJ in B.C. could speak at length about these cars as he has owned a few of them.
