That's a beauty   too bad it wasn't painted green  (for the purist)   I wonder if the engine and 4 speed are 396 and Muncie?

probably cost another 25 to make it worth 35-40   Wish I was younger and had 50g

Stripe car too, I think 1 of 117 if I am remembering right? Wow, neat car. And yes, it would be great in green, just to be different.

Disc brake, redline, stripe, vinyl top stick car. I'd drive it...

Oops, sometimes I open my eyes...

Reason I knew that number is I have a relative who owns a stripe car.

Engine number is not a Tonawanda number, its a K for St. Catharines. This is the second time we've seen a 396 with a K engine number. Whats up with that?

To be we have no confirmation that GM ever built big blocks in St. Catharines yet this engine number would seem to indicate so.

Wow, that car has got to be repainted the original color scheme.  that is awesome!  green , black top and GOLD interior, got to be a 1 of 1 combo.  Does not say what color the stripe was,  white or black, both would look great.

Anyone I've ever talked to about documents on stripe cars has said they don't ever show white or black. It's really too bad.

I've only ever seen in real life one stripe car with any of the original stripe left. It was red with white stripe.

What a cool car! I'm going to have to take exception to one claim in the ad:

"this is the most highly sought after Canadian built muscle car built in 1967".......I would add "AFTER the 427 4 speed Parisienne" (said only half jokingly and with only a little intent to stir thing up)

But I'm a bit biased lol.

I agree 100% with going to factory colours BTW.

Great car! The price seems in line to me... (same condition & price as mine)

Would command more $ if it ressembled the GM build sheet.

Realistically, what do you guys think this car is worth when finished? Let's assume two scenarios........ back to original color, with vinyl roof and gold interior, date code correct 396 and M20 and scenario two; leaving paint as is, black interior, same date code correct drivetrain as scenario one.

The car's sold...... and I didn't buy it. I'm just curious. I see 427Carl's comment about $35k-$40k. With the rarity, is that accurate?

Allan

Allan ...it's worth what a motivated buyer is willing to spend. If this car had a vehicle appraisel performed, and was in all origonal condition, I'd be confidently listing it for sale around +/- 65k CAN. If it were a SS396 Chevelle, you could easily command 80k. (just my opinion)

Ok...... so $65k, how much of a deduct for the wrong color, wrong interior, and no vinyl roof?

Allan.

Having had to perform the exact same work on my car after initially purchasing it... A professional paint re-spray cost 15k. New vinyl top and chrome trim approx. 1k and re-duing the interior 3-4k.

...after all said and done, I think the car is worth 40/45k (if it was finished) in it's current condition. 427Carl's appraisal value doesn't seem out of line IMO.
