57 rear springs

Hi

Does anyone here have the factory specs for the 57 wagon rear springs?

I would like to know what the eye to eye length was and also the arch measurement from the c-c of the spring eyes to the top of the leaf.

Thanks

The factory manual does not give any of that information. I do know that wagon springs would have an extra leaf compared to the passenger car.

Only frame specs I could find.Does not account for shackle unfortunately. Think I have a original set of HT ones(in rafters) I could measure if needed.

We installed new heavy duty rear springs on my friends 56 Nomad. There are a few different type of springs that were available from the factory. Regular springs, heavy duty springs that were used on station wagons and ordered on lots of regular cars and a special heavy duty spring for station wagons and police cars and taxi packages. The parts book has listings for the springs but my book is in my shop. The heavy duty springs installed on the Nomad raised the rear end at least 2" as the originals were very tired. The heavy duty springs we used were purchased from CARS in Michigian. It is number of spring leaves that are added for heavy duty.
