Hello everybody! I have a 1957 Pontiac Chieftain. The car was setting a long time outside and needs lots of work. My problem at the moment, is that the fuel tank leaks in about 3 different spots. I would like to replace the tank, but have found out that nobody atleast to my knowledge reproduces the tank....

Cleaning waterfall hood trim. Appears to have traces of paint in channels. Should there be paint ( ie. hood colour) or should the trim be all chrome?

Hi Does anyone here have the factory specs for the 57 wagon rear springs? I would like to know what the eye to eye length was and also the arch measurement from the c-c of the spring eyes to the top of the leaf. Thanks

Has anyone here installed a rear shock mount(bar) to help take the stress off the upper sheetmetal mounting area?sure looks like a poor design from the factory.Just asking because I am thinking of installing a pair of air shocks and want better/stronger upper supports. Thanks

Looking for info on speedo. 283 three in the tree for drive train. Installed new speedo cable and now as soon as car moves . forward or reverse. says there should be wind in my hair. Would need more hair or get out of driveway. Hoping its the gear in tranny but possible its the speedo itself. Thoughts

I understand that the steering box on a 51 Canadian Pontiac is 100 Chev: ours is loose and I prefer to get a rebuilt unit instead of a kit since it is that same amount of labour, or less. I've updated the original brake system to a dual master but just not totally comfortable with the braking ability of the system. Thinking of doing a disk brake / power booster conversion this winter and wondering if anyone has done it to our Ponchos? Any advise would be appreciated. Cheers!!!!

well after seeing that a new tank is listed at 350 US for my 53 poncho and the rad shop could not guarantee if boiling the tank would clean out the pickup tube inside the tank i figured i had nuthin to lose so after flushing the tank several times i filled it with water and soap and cut the hole

	Anyone do a disc brake conversion - need a winter project (Preview) I've updated the original brake system to a dual master but just not totally comfortable with the braking ability of the system.
