Anyone near Cambridge, Ontario, to look at a 1969 Strato Chief?

This car looks solid, which is what I need (solid, complete, and unmolested).

But it's very hard to know from photos on the Internet!  I'm wondering if anyone is in the region that would be able to take a quick stop by to assess the sheet metal quality, whether there's any bondo in it, and so on!  Please let me know!

Cheers,
Dave

I have seen the car for Todd.

I wish this car was better.

A lot of new mechanical parts but it's the sheet metal you need.

I got to get under the car.

The seller is honest but a bit unrealistic.

I wish the seller luck.

Spending a few thousand more for that one in the BC mountains may be an option for you.

Has anyone seen that car ?

They may take a lower offer.

If you send me an Email by PM, I can send you all 65 pictures

I'm not quite sure what I'm looking at, but thanks so much for the photos! It's really only the rear fenders I need, I'm OK that the front is rusted. The seller said the rear is solid, but what does that mean? That this car has never rusted or that it's been repaired well?

If there's a better body out there (don't need a whole car) please let me know! I just don't want to blow up a viable good car, so I'm reticent to start cutting up 2+2s and so on, so thought this Strato might be perfect, but not if it's not solid in the rear...

I thought I read a thread on this site somewhere saying that American Catalina quarters would work.  Am I remembering that incorrectly?

Edit: maybe it was this one:  http://canadianponcho.activeboard.com/t64047703/69-parisienne-partial-quarters/

If would like to fly in on Westjet to London, I can run you over to see it.

This car would make an awesome "big block drop in" driver but the body has been repaired muiltiple times.

The front halfs of the quaters apear to be close to original, while the rear portions are not.

These cars pop out of the wood work all the time.

One with your name on it is probably sitting in a barn somewhere in western Canada.

Not much left this side of Winnipeg.

This one has to be looked at,

But it's on the Alaska Highway North West of Edmonton.
