Windshield for 1954 Laurentian

Hey there I'm a brand new member who has recently acquired a 1954 Pontiac Laurentian. My main issue right now is the windshield needs to be replaced and I'm not sure what my options are on a replacement. Apart from the same year and model, does anyone know what other years and models would fit? Any advice is much appreciated.

We'll need to know body style as windshields can differ by body style. Once I know that I'll check the interchange manual.

Welcome aboard. Lots of help here.

It's a 4 door sedan. My brother bought it a few years ago as a project which I have now inherited. It has the inline six upgraded to 12 volt. Some SOB broke the windshield and driver's door glass. I live in Winnipeg. Here's a pic of me and the bro with the car:

I am not familiar with the interchange but a few years ago Vanfax in Winnipeg was able to locate a windshield for a customer of mine with a 50 Pontiac. You might give them a try.

Most obvious place to look is Auto City down in Minneapolis area.

The interchange book, which is American, says the 53 and 54 Chevs and Pontiacs for 2 and 4 dr sedans are the same. The code is W317.
Pretty sure the Canadian Pontiacs would be the same.
With the code your local glass shop should be able to source one. Just beware of their mark up.

Thanks guys that's very helpful info. I visit Minneapolis occasionally so Auto City might be a good option.

a 54 chevy windshield should work,if you can't find one in Canada theres a few places that sell them new out of the u.s.My local glass shop found new ones for my 49 but I will be looking for one for my 54 eventually as I cracked it when I removed it.national chevy association and ecklers early chevy both advertise them.
