Might burn a little more fuel than an Echo though.

I like it! Not sure if she would. At just over 5 feet tall she might have a hard time seeing past the hood! It sucks having the ferry to NS shut down for the season. It's only 8 minutes from my place. Now if I see something I like in NS it's a 5 hour drive.

My Sister-in-laws parents hit a moose with the twin car, about 20 years ago.

The tow truck driver said,

"If the hood was shorter youd be dead"

You could keep an Echo in the trunk in case of a flat tire. An 88 might even have ABS.

It'd be a shame to subject that Caddy to our roads. Where I live it's mostly sand that's put down. The rockers would be sandblasted in one winter.

That is way too nice a car to be a winter beater. Shame on all of you guys. Now all of you go to the corner of the room and bow your heads down in shame.

In another thread we were talking about the 80's being a low point in North American car history, and I mentioned there are a few exceptions, this car being one of them. These are really nice cars. My boss at the Pontiac dealership drove the silver version of this car.

I had a 1984 Cadillac with 16,000 miles two summers ago. I bought it for my parents and my father loved it but my mother at 5 feet tall hated it. I had to pull the front seat and make adjustments on the angle of the seat for her to see clearly out the windshield. Because of her arthritis at 90 years old she could not open the outside door handle and that was the final straw get rid of it. This car was a dealer trade it at the local GM dealer and he called me and asked if I wanted it. $4000 tax in was the price uncertified. I did a complete service all oils engine, transmission rear diff and the antifreeze. The antifreeze was a lesson as these Cadillacs had aluminium engine parts and called for a change of antifreeze every 2 years with a pellet type of additive. A great highway car. I sold the car for what I had into it $4400. The guy I sold it too wants $10,000 and still owns it. Nice car but but what a big piece of material. The car was a real beauty! Same colour as the one in the add.

Al

Beautiful ride on the highway in those cars, smooth, quiet, comfy. Try as they might they just can't make a front drive as cushy feeling as these.

Not that it matters but it looks like a 307 Olds, not a 305.

Thanks

Yes, sure looks like it. To me, that would matter. I'd pick the 307 way sooner than the 305. Those engines were great in those years.

It seems to me by around 90 or 91 they had a throttle body 350 Chevy in them.
