Yes, that's a wheel cover. Very heavy! If I am right, those first showed up on Chevrolet in 65. Over the years they came in 14 or 15 inch and a couple of different styles and came on both cars and pickups.

Probably is - I thought it looked too dark on the paint chart, but probably just a poor quality scan.

The Ash Gold on this Chevelle looks nothing like the paint chip I posted above:

Lol- counsel. Lots of cars out here come with new "routers" so you can also do some woodworking while you drive! Not sure what " rechromed bumbers" are for though..See that a lot too.

sold an NOS quality set years ago for $1500 U.S. 65 vintage-in the trunk of a highly optioned 65 Impala convertible sitting in a barn-its still in there!! They had "SS" in the centre

I have a set of this style hub caps 14' though, driver quality not mint but nice.

Never thought they were worth that kind of money, was thinking 250$, maybe

ebay is the place for these!

Nice looking car, good place to start if that is ones favourite style (:

I'm not sure that they bring huge bucks if they are used. A few years back we could pick them up at swap meets in the $30-$40 range for nice driver quality caps.
