How to determine what's missing

So as I face the grail/basket-case/2+2, part of what makes this so daunting is that it was taken apart 20 years ago, pieces are missing, and there's no fasteners!

I have all the big pieces (doors, fenders) squared away, now I need to go through EVERY piece of the car and figure out what I have and what I'm missing.  That sounds like no easy task!

Here's what I was thinking:  once I've taken photos of each part that I have, I was thinking I could look over my coupe for obvious stuff.  Then I could go through the assembly manual to spot any additional missing stuff.  Then I'll make a list, and at that point decide if I need a parts car or will be able to beg/borrow/steal my way through this one!

Any thoughts?  I've never been in this position of not even knowing what I have!  If someone has been down this road before, let me know how it turned out

Right now I could use the back half of that convertible... or the parts car he had!

Dave, a few thoughts for you
:
1. You have your Laurentian to use as a guide. At least the front clip, and rear portions would be the same. You can see what's missing, etc.

2. When I bought the 69 2+2 hdtp a few years ago for the chassis that's under my 70 Parisienne, I disassembled the entire car. While I threw out all the sheet metal, I kept ALL of the fasteners. I used a few when reassembling the 70, the remaining are in a couple jars in my garage, you're welcome to them. While they're not labeled, you can use your Laurentian as a guide.

3. I know of a 69 Parisienne convertible in a private junk yard about an hour NE of Calgary. It'd be difficult to get out of there, but it's an option. I've taken a few pieces off it over the years, but the bones of the car are all there.

I've never taken that close of a look at it, but can get a better look once spring comes.  I've grabbed the rear speaker grill, rear defroster, cowl screen and left rear tail light (with the bevel thing) from it over the years.
