Ya, sure, built at the factory!

Why do people do this to poor little 2dr HARD TOPS. what did they ever do to deserve that treatment.

Defiantly not factory but should have been. The 66/67 look so good as a convert with the top down. Who cares how badly they would twist with a V8 in them.......

Wasn't there a 66 Convertible for sale in Kelowna a year or two ago, that was bought and went State side?

Isn't this the one forespeed used to own and sold a while back? Nicely done, but still couldn't bring myself to cut the roof of a SD HT! tears.gif Whats done is done and that being said I think it turned out great. Think GM missed the bus on this one...would have sold more if offered in a rag(in my opinion). Just looks a bit off to me with the roof up. 1st gens were more boxy and the 2nd's had smoother lines. 1/4 window and rear roof lines look a bit off because of that...but looks awsome with top down! And my pet peave....67 door panels!!!!wink

Says  "Deluxe V8 Very rare 1 of 302" .  Think it was 552 SD made and 302 were V8   but just going from memory...which ain't all that great! and yes...they messed up a rare, rare car!

Personally I love "what ifs" or "one of nones"  said the guy with a 454 in a LeMans. The trim the wheels the convertible and stout 327 all work for me, the car is very well executed in my opinion. But not to miss out as a critic the statement that "The Acadian Canso was only built from 1962-1971 in Canada " is false.

Like has been mentioned it could well be the one that Forespeed bought out of Kelowna. I took a look at it for him and at the time it had a 327 with a 4 speed. I was disappointed that after spending the money to get it shipped across the country and then state side he then just put it up for sale again. The original price at I think between 9 and 10 thou would have been affordable here in the west. I just love the look of this car.

I just have to admit I really like that car. Even if it was a hack job at least it seems to have been well done.

It's actually quite an attractive car but..... all the claims and BS go out the window. It's no longer what it was.

My friend in Nebraska is quite a ways into the same project as this. I emailed him the link. He said he wishes he would have seen it for sale because he would have bought it. I think he's tired of the one he's started on, it appears to be quite a task.
