Fixings questions for 65 vert windscreen chrome and joining rubber seals

Sorry for the influx of questions. Putting together windshield chrome trim, seals And top.

In the picture there are 2 holes which look like they should have screws in them but no holes in the pillar. Some screw had to be drilled out originally but no evidence of that. Been a while since getting pulled out.....

also, when joining seal rubbers, there is a special jointing cement or is superglue ok? What to you use? Need to joing the header seal and front frame seals on the roof frame.

Hello again

I do know that there is an adhesive for joining the rubbers, but for the life of me I can't remember what we used. I will check with my son today, he will know.

check with your local automotive jobber and ask for weather strip adhesive. There are several brands available with 3M being the most often used.

Also is usually available in black or yellow. Black is the preference for neatness.

That the stuff that I was trying to remember. We use the black of course to make it look like one piece with no join.

For the record, if you buy the GM stuff it's black.

Can't help you with the trim question, never had that apart on ours, and the Chevy is different in that all the inside windshield trim is painted.
With no hole in the pillar for the trim screw is it possible the trim piece is from a different B body that had them?
