1964 Beaumont SD

I have recently purchased a 64 SD Beaumont vin#48837056372

My question is did they put a 327 in a Beaumont in 1964. My car has 327 badging but the engine has been swapped out for a 350.

Any help in identifying it would be greatly appreciated. I have just added some pictures of the side badging. Does the vin number not reveal the engine that the car came with? Iss there another way of telling what it might be?

It should say V8. Someone likely added the Chevy 327 emblems, it was very common to do that.

My understanding that in 64 there were no 327s, not until 65.  Also, a warm welcome.  Would love to see some pictures of your car.

Apparently there were 57 Beaumonts in 64 with 327 according to a friend who had one
that he had documentation for. It had the normal V8 badge.

I'll see if I can find him. He moved up country. He had a 64 Custom Convertible.

First things first "Welcome Aboard" Fallsguy1964
I've always believed there were a few 327s built later in the year..
I have a 64 SD rag that I bought in that area (Stevensville, ON ) 20 plus years ago. The docs say it spent it's life in that area including Fort Erie. Getting closer to having my first real drive in it.

Hey looks like I'm getting educated here. Sounds like they will be the rare ones.
