peddles and linkage for my 69 b body

Don't !

I can go see these for you.

If this is legit, I will confirm for you.

There is a chance we may know the person.

Either way I can take the risk out for you.

At least Todd can confirm that I am a real person.

He has driven my Poncho !

And Johnnee, has driven my F***

$400 sounds like too much, unless it includes everything, including the correct z-bracket.  Even then it's a bit high.

Here's a link with valuable information:

http://canadianponcho.activeboard.com/forum.spark?aBID=118110&p=3&topicID=27892343

You'll see the 69/70 clutch pedal is different than the 65-68, and also you'll need the z-bracket.

I used that link as a guide when converting my 70 Parisienne from 3 speed auto to 4 speed, and the info was exactly what I needed.    Do not forget about the unique clutch fork and fork stud.

FYI - it's 'pedals', not 'peddles'.

Just a quick shot of my car:

Interior Front Left 3.JPG

The disc brake pedal pad is the hard one to find.

I think the very hardest one to find is the non-deluxe four speed disc brake pedal, like this one!

Also the neutral safety switch is unique to 1969, and requires a pin that bolts to the clutch pedal to trip the switch. The switches are available on eBay, and there's a guy who makes the pin. I was going to use a 69 switch in my 70, but there was nowhere to mount it.

Clint, on my 6 speed conversion in the 94 Impala I mounted a clutch switch from a pickup, I think from the 80's or 90's, right on the firewall and just made it so the clutch pedal had to be touching the carpet pretty much. Although I used that for the reverse lockout on the T56 to keep it from being put in reverse without the pedal all the way down, but you could do the same thing very easily for your safety switch. I like the piece of mind a clutch switch offers.

Here's some photo's of the 69 Neutral Safety Switch setup:

I really don't remember where I got the pin that's show in the 2nd & 3rd photo's, but someone reproduces them.   I sold the setup I had as I went with a 1970 setup that's entirely different.

RE: Pedals and linkage for my 69 b body

I still kick myself that we didn't harvest the complete clutch pedal setup off dad's old '70 Biscayne.  no His was a 3-in-the-tree but it would have had the rare hard to find parts like the fork & pedals. The backdrive was redundant in our case because of the column shift. Had a radio block-off plate as well. All went to the scrap yard 40 years ago when the car was scrapped. Manual drum pedal pads, nothing fancy.

Jeez, my daily driver has more miles on it than the old Biscayne and is the same age, yet it still looks & drives like new. I guess dad was a very busy man, plus logging roads &  the odd flood crossing were also tough on it. We drove to Tijuana in it, and Vancouver Island, crossed the Salt Flats & the Nevada desert, plus it was ferried across the Ottawa River and also went to Newfoundland. He used it as a hunting & fishing car after '74.  140,000 miles was considered a high number back then. Dad didn't say it but I could easily imagine him having said, "son, a man with a clean car has nothing else." smile

A few years ago one member over at ImpalaSS427.com had enough interest to get a small batch the proper floor shift boots made. Currently ImpalaSS427.com is MIA due to the domain expiring & somebody registering it before it could get renewed. At least the message board is still active for those who know how to find it:   http://members5.boardhost.com/impalass427/index.html

I actually found a thread where a member is offering the floor shift boot that was used on 68-69 Chevrolet B-bodies. Pretty sure it would also be correct for the equivalent Canadian Pontiac B-bodies.

Original is on left, repro on right

Wow, but that's the floor shift boot, right, which is different from the console boots?

Through the ImpalaSS427 crowd I bought new boots for my 4-speed console. There's an upper and a lower, $200 each as repros, so you're into it for $400 in just seals!

I was really hoping it was somebody else.

My guess is that this person is not from London, Ontario, or even Canada.

Glad to help.

Well handled Danny.

If I can get away to my favourite wrecking yard one of these weekends I plan to pull those 68 pedals as long as they are still there.

While your there Carl, don't forget to look out for my mirror...and maybe look for a original AM/FM 8 track or cassette radio that might be in a 1975/76 Chevelle wink

I know there's a 70-71 AM/FM 8 track in a big Chevy wagon. I don't typically look in the later 70's cars but he's crushed a lot of them anyway.

Carl, I'm looking for my brother in law (Christmas present)...he owns the 1975 Chevelle Laguna that frequented this site some time back....2 years only 75/76.

Here's another small part to put on your shopping list.
1 or 2 of the chrome ( ss? ) quadrant dividers that are on the outer rim of a 64 Beaumont steering wheel. They appear to just clip over the wheel segments. I'm told that A and B body are different.
Thanks,
