I can't see paying freight on that from BC to me, but looks like another no brainer. If that thing was in the GTA I'd buy it on a Lark and drive around style'n for the rest of the summer.

My father had a 76 Bonneville Brougham, 455, 4 door, beautiful car. It was red / maroon, crushed valour seats, power everything, with 8 track, with cigarette lighters at the back of the drivers and passenger seat at the top of the seat.

He got t boned in 1979 right between the driver and left side passenger doors and the two doors were pushed past the steering wheel. So, that's how far the doors got pushed in. I doubt he was wearing a seatbelt which likely saved his life because he ended up with broken ribs and the car was written off.

I think my brother might still have the rear wheel skirts in his garage. Nice car!

Those road trips are the best.  I'll remember my part way across Canada trip this year for the rest of my life.  Todd, that car is still for sale across the lake.  I'll drive it the first leg to Alberta, or even further if need be.

That's an awful lot of trouble  just to sell a car in one month's time. When I said a Lark that's what I meant.

It's long been my dream to do a trip like this.  Fly out, buy the car of my dreams, drive back, see parts of the country I've never seen before and have the adventure of a lifetime, fixing all the stuff that breaks on the way on a 50 year old car that I'm unfamiliar with... wink

We have, in my opinion, the most beautiful country in the world, and a person should make a point to see as much of it as they can.  So far, I've driven in all the provinces except Saskatchewan and Manitoba, and the territories... drove through the Rockies between Calgary and Vancouver (and up to Whistler) in 2015, drove from NS and up the west coast of Newfoundland (except the water part biggrin) a number of years ago.  Been to PEI and NB more times than I can count, to Quebec City a couple of times, and to Ottawa and back, stopping in Montreal this summer.  Have driven within Ontario quite a bit, down to wine country, to Prince Edward County, up to North Bay and Sudbury.  It's all beautiful, and the people I've met on the way have all been first rate nice people, which seems to be a constant all across Canada.

With all the nonsense going on down in the US, I've never felt a stronger connection to my country than I do now, and I want to see as much of it as possible before I kick the bucket.

Some day, perhaps, when (if) I have both the time and the money at the same time, and hopefully still have my health - I will do it.
