Cherry Grand Am for sale (not mine)

It's funny....but after 72...the A body market really changes....The Colonnade cars seem to be overlooked.....and passed over...for the downsized G-bodys...prolly for size...and weight...

I think the 73 GTO....was Pontiacs way of saying good-bye to the GTO....The Road Runner stole the show in 68.....and it was all downhill....after that.....

The Trans am picked up the torch...in 73........and for the next 9 years....was a TOTAL sales success

The 74 GTO could have been a survivor...I think.....

Back in the day....they were rejected.....but really closer to the original concept.....smaller lighter car.....

The white one in your picture is a NICE car.....Kind of a shame they didn't carry it on....

Ray the prices on mint-cond Can Ams have come up in the last two years, based on my Facebook group monitoring of sales (and sales through that group). I think the upper money is $22-25K USD now for a strong #2, with maybe one or two sales above that over the last five years.

This is a very nice GA, nice options and condition.  I don't think it'd sell at $25K in Canada, but with todays USD exchange rate, it's around $19300 USD....  who knows.

Found a couple of pics from 1978 the first day on the road. When I bought it, the plates were two years old at the time. The original colour is silver. The original owner and his brother both had GA,s. The brothers was a black 74. I liked the black so the 73 was was painted black by the end of the year. IMGA9257.JPGIMGA9258.JPGscan0008.jpg

Ya Was a lot younger and smaller. In the driveway was my brother's 69 SJ GP and in the snow bank beside it was a 69 GTO Judge. The RA3 and 4-speed ended up in his 65 GTO.

Very rusty for a nine year old car. Gave the body to our younger cousin for his first car. We repaired the rust out and was in primer when he found a nice 69 GP, so the GTO was sold and was last seen with a BBC powering it.
