68 Skylark convertible kijiji Ont

For some reason I've always liked the '68-'69 Skylarks, and this one looks particularly tasty to me.  Can't put my finger on it exactly, but it just looks 'right' (except the red heater hoses...).  No price, of course, so it's probably a million dollars... (lol)

I think it's the colour that sets it off.

It really looks sharp and commands attention but I'm not sure it's something I'd want to own. The car, yes, just not this colour.

I run hot & cold on the 68-69 Skylarks. That convertible looks to be very nice, in nice shape and a tasteful colour combo. I like it. I prefer the 66 - 67 or the 70 - 72 cars, but certain 68 - 69s catch my eye. I remember seeing a factory promo photo of a 68 GS350 coupe, white with a beige vinyl roof, red lower side striping & whitewalls & thinking, "WTH?" Later I saw what could have been a makeover of the same car. It was a beautiful white 68 GS350 coupe in Hamilton, no vinyl roof or striping, but a set of white lettered radials on chrome Buick sport wheels and though, "yeah, that's much better." It looked much better even though technically lettered tires didn't make it to Buick until 1970.

The 68 / 69 body wave just doesn't work so well on the Skylarks as it does on a big 67 / 68 Le Sabre.

I wonder if that convertible has a 4-barrel 350? Those Buick 300-340-350 4-barrel intake manifolds are now harder to find that you might think.

Tim on Van Isle will like this ...  I do! Clean machine, but the dreaded "Please Contact" for a price.
