Those are some sweet rare accessories and some may find them rich but good luck finding them on any given day of the year. I think the prices are actually very reasonable and i wish i could find a AM FM 8 Track player for my 74 Chev wagon. Cheers.

I added 8 track players to both my 70 2+2's. The Pontiac players are generally the same 69-72, but there is small internal differences. I looked at both his non-Firebird players, and yes they're correct for 1969 Pontiac. I got mine in the very early 2000's, and the first one worked well as received, but the 2nd one required more attention.

The harnesses are specific to the type of radio being used (mono, stereo, front speaker only, rear speaker) so care must be taken to ensure the proper loading for the amplifiers.

This guy has made a hobby/sideline of finding these, fixing them up and reselling them so he tells me.  Seems very knowledgeable and accommodating.  Like you say very nice to have especially since the factory ones tended to be built really well compared to the after market stuff (most anyway) .  Also good if you still have a pile of 8 tracks and you know how to rebuild them to paly again so guess what I did?
