RE: 69 pontiac parisenne pics

The American cars had plastic filler panels between the bumper and the hood but the canadian models didn't. The upper bumper re-enforcement plate (painted black) serves as the filler, in your photo it looks like the bumper needs to move inwards to reduce the gap. Very easy to do.

 Hi Bill

Been there done that! This is the same feeling that I had with the restoration of my '66. When I felt this way I took a few days away from it and then came back. It can make a world of difference in that little break. Don't want to rush it at this point. Slow and steady is best.

Great advice Luppy. I remember my mom (who I had/have tremendous respect for) telling me when something really was getting you down or upset, sleep on it. A fresh look always helps. Sometimes it takes a few sleeps but it works.

So true! I can remember working on a problem at work and spending 2 hours on it. I went home and slept on it, then the next day it was resolved in 10 minutes with a fresh perspective.

With my choice of always getting beat up cars there is always a breaking point long before done. Then it gets moved to storage and I bring in another project.

Im very jealous of those of you that can focus and stay committed to one project to completion.

well much better day today started on the stripes, going to change them up abit,as the factory look to me looks unfinished.IMO ..looking at the car it don't look that bad in a satin type finish, and theres still a few small dents ect and they don't look as bad as they would have with the proper sheen ,wanted to keep it orginal haha

Well found out that the paint hasn't the right sheen because of the amount of tint the color took..so thats that..stripes are on,need to take hair dryer to back window to tighten that up and shes all tuned up and ready to go..going to put plates on it thats cool as May 87 was last time it was done..Then theres a member here that has been of great help to me and has never taken a penny for any thing I needed ,,great guy..Going to go show him and let him take her for a spin  I would never have got the car this far without ALL the help from the members on this site,,thank you all very much...Soon my buddy and his sister will finally get to see and drive thier dads car after more than 30 yrs it is a honour ..love hate thing mind you haha

Damn that looks good. Love the day two look with the Keystone Classics.

You definitely have more energy than I do.

That vert will make a fine summer car for someone.

I've got a period correct Edelbrock C3BX intake and I'm sure I have a matching Holley 780 kicking around if you're interested. That'd wake up that 350.

Actually re the Holley 780, I'm sure I have a couple of them.   One with metering blocks on both primary and secondary, and the other with a metering block on the primary, and a metering plate on the secondary.

Thanks Clint I picked up a GM CFM aluminum 14057053 -28  ? ? from a swap meet don't know much about it other that you can put a rochester carb on figured I use the factory carb that was on my 64 327 as I am going to use a Carter for that now...I only have a thin gasket for the base of the carb and the butterflys rub on the gasket ?  so I must be missing a thicker one ?  or something is not right ?? must have forgot where I put it or I will just get another maybe a spacer also.?
