Those are the side louvers for a 68 2+2. I'm not sure how successful you're going to be in finding just one, but you never know.

I've read about people looking for 2+2 louvers quite a few times here.

I was wondering if anybody has tried to mould their own using resin casting methods.  The louvers have fairly simple shapes and look like they would work well in a resin casting situation.

The process can be time consuming and takes a little practice, but is not all that difficult.   The process basically involves making a silicone mould using an original part, and then pouring a 2-part resin into the mould to make a new part.  For rare items like these louvers it seems ideal.  Of course you wouldn't be able to attach them to the body with metal studs and nuts, but emblem adhesive tape is quite strong and would be sufficient to hold them onto the body.  You can always make spares as well in case you lose or damage one.

Here's an article I googled on how to do it.  I'm sure there are many more out there, likely lots of tutorials on youtube as well.

It's just a thought - obviously an original part would be best, but if you can't find one this could be an alternative...

Welcome to the site Tommy. You're in Sweden, you are going with painted gills, so why not take one off and have another one 3D printed. There must be plenty of places that will do that over there. You'd be amazed at how good of a job can be done these days.

Don't even worry about pins. Just use an adhesive to mount it after painting.

Show us more of your car, it looks pretty nice.

Ive got a couple with one stud. As you can see there an imperfection in the finish due to the corrosion that occurred on the back side. One worse than the other. But since youre painting them, probably sand down ok. I have one good one but Id like to keep that one. Hows $20 for the pair? Plus shipping of coarse.

I thought I would post a picture to show you why I went to the trouble of stripping down all the paint off these louvres.

I decided to go with the chrome look.

Curious...Can they be gotten to through the open door? Or does the fender have to come off?

Maybe a little off topic but how does a 2+2 convertible end up in Sweden? Where they sold there?

Welcome to Canadianponcho and yes we need to see and hear more about your car.
This group is very much into the history of our cars and each car seems to have a unique story ( yours certainly will ).

Car looks great Tommy. A fine example.
