I have a funny feeling that Vince might know about this one. Do you Vince? Is it in Foam Lake now?

HAHAHA! OK fellas, I dont drag everything home, well almost not everything! Ken, Cheviac, told me about this one on November 17. But they wanted too much money back then, $1500 and there isn't much left on it. I would be into it for $500..

I assume it's a 283? The air cleaner lid looks more like 327 but it appears the base is 283?

I didn't call but since is has nothing for options, I wouldn't be surprised if it isn't a 283. I may send a message to see what they want for the old turd... nothing in the ad so the price has to be too much! lol

That air cleaner looks like the one used on the 327 4-barrel that year. It may very well be a 327-275 with a TH400 transmission.

Do you suppose there might be any mud in it? wink

Now that is what I think of when I hear the overused term "barn find".

The lid does, yes. But if you look close, it looks like the base is a much smaller diameter than the lid and it shouldn't be. The base should come out to the edge of the lid and it doesn't.

No, but it sure would be cool if someone would design something. Those 69 grilles lend themselves to a hideaway setup.

I remember seeing a '69 online a few years ago that had a hideaway setup taken from a '68, and it actually looked quite good.

That thing would go well with a 396 and AC wouldn't it?  Say I seem to have those things for sale yet....
