I love these treasure hunts!

I'll check tonight, although there's a couple of retired guys on here who might beat me to it!

Anything right number and dated around April/May 66 I would be interested in buying as a spare for my car if you have for sale.

Ya, i think the date codes would be somthing like 1M26,    the 1 being 1961, if i am correct, not sure about the exact way to date code them

Will be intersting to see if the date codes corespond to what motor they actually fit!

It shows 1115293 for all the v8 engines in 69. Like you say what's the difference and why.

I checked all of them with an ohm meter going from the small terminals positive to negative,  I wire wheeled the tops of all terminals.  Readings are all pretty much bang on 2.0 ohms, some are a bit less as low as 1.7, some are as high as 2.2.

Then i checked some of my "other" coils(not the aluminum ones).  they are all pretty much the same, couple aftermarkets were as high as 3.2, but most are around 2.0-2.2

here are the pics of the GM aluminum ones, and some of the numbers

1115087 55-64 numerous applications, almost all the GM's of that era

1115218

1115208 found one listing for 69 Camaro 6 cyl. changes up to 1115087

So for date codes is 8A8  january 8 1958

and 5B22 would be Feb 22 1965.

Most of mine are of of 58-63 chevy and pontiac fulsize 6cyls,  at least thats what cars they came off of.
