I found this the other day in a store and, even though I have no plans for it I thought some of you may.
This was a manual put out yearly to educate GM dealers and mechanics of the actual changes to the upcoming model year (as opposed to the puffery in a brochure.) I'm thinking it is pretty rare and in quite good shape.
It is interesting to see that even though Canada had been at war for 2 years when this was printed in September 1940 there was apparently still quite a few models offered and no talk in this document of blackout equipment. That changed during the model year, though, in terms of production cuts and controls on what models were actually available for 1941.
I'd like to try an auction for a week with an opening bid of $20.00. All proceeds will go to the site. For whoever wins, postage will be included in the winning bid.
The auction will end at 2300 hours (MDT) on April 7.
