Headlight Issues ‘64 Custom Sport

Had a no headlight situation in the 64 Custom Sport.  Replaced the headlight switch.  Have bright lights but no low beams.  Where do I look now?

Thank you!  No relays etc to look for?  Just the switch.

Pretty basic. If its not that you may be into wiring. There are some other places to look. Rule that switch out first

Yes, the first thing to try is the dimmer switch. Try changing it back and forth from low to high a number of times in succession. Sometimes you'll get it to work intermittently when you do that and then you know that is the issue. If that doesn't change things, then try a test light on the dimmer switch terminals. Chances are good the terminals on it are corroded and also sometimes the terminals in the harness connector are corroded.

And if is there is corrosion, you'll get resistance...and possibly a melted plug and wire at the switch.

Check the firewall connector, while there check both firewall connectors. If original, be gentle with the plastic.
