64 Windshield install - glass shop recommendations Winnipeg area

Well, after searching for a used windshield for my 64, 4 door hardtop for almost 4 years,... I drove down to Auto City Classic in Isanti MN and picked up a brand new one!

It seems that this particular windshield was discontinued for a while some time back.  Then I tried them again last year and they had a few.  Very hard to find this one (only used 2 years, 63, 64 4 door hardtop)  I guess they must have ordered a small run.  They have only two left.  For all you 63/64 hardtop guys out there,... at $209 US,.. grab a spare while you can.  I think they may be the last two available anywhere!

Anyway,.. now that I've got a new windshield,. I need to find a auto body or glass  shop  in the Winnipeg (or surrounding area) that is familiar with this gasket type windshield installation.  I phoned around a bit and some of the glass places quote insane prices because they really don't want the job, and others don't really want to guarantee their work. (If they break it,. they say too bad so sad).  There must be few shops out there that are confident enough in their work to offer a guarantee.

Looking for recommendations of any glass or auto body shop in the Winnipeg and surrounding area that would;

1) Have enough experience in this type of installation and be confident enough to do it without breaking it.

2) Guarantee their work against leaks (if it leaks, they remove and reseal at no cost)

3 ) Charge a "reasonable price".

 I'm looking for a recommendation of someone who can give me a personal reference of someone they've dealt with.

I already have a brand new Precision gasket as well.

All recommendations welcome. Thanks

I'm in Morris. We have a local mobile installer, On Site Auto Glass. I've known Brad many years, used him a couple of times for my classic car glass. He did front and rear windows on my 65 Acadian (which are gasket type seals) and did a perfect job. I can't say he will do it, or guarantee you will be 100% satisfied with him if he does it but I know I would not hesitate to hire him again. His name is Brad.

Hometown auto glass did mine years ago, (64 Parisienne 2dr hdtp ) no problems with windshield or rear glass.

they are located on McPhillips at Pacific. They specialize in classic cars and have a local mobile service truck.

Thanks very much for the reply.  And thanks Carl for your post as well.

I'll follow up with both of these places.   I'm not really that paranoid about the glass installation. But when you've been looking for many years,.and then find a new one which might be the "last of the last",.you just want to deal with a "solid" individual who knows his stuff.  Like I mentioned, the places that I have called really don't want the job or they don't stand behind their work.  I do realize that I'm "old school" and was born in a time when standing behind your work and offering a "personal guarantee" was very common. Everyone was out there trying to do their best and prove their work as being better than the other guys.  Not so much like that any more.

Thanks very much for the suggestions.
