Looking for advice on Steering Column Interchange

Hi guys, For a couple of reasons I've been thinking about swapping out the stock auto column shift column on my 66 Beaumont with an aftermarket (or used) tilt one. Would anybody know if a Chevelle application column fits in a Beaumont?

Actually a Lemans column is a bolt in Ken. The original Lemans tilts bring pretty silly money, although certainly a column shift unit will cost a lot less than a floor shift tilt for one of them.

Yeah with the lemans dash I was wondering about that. Sounds like a worthy pursuit. Just so you know, its only partly because of the girth problem.

At POCI in 2016, there was a vendor from Jackson Wisconsin called Parts Finders. They specialize in rebuilt tilt steering columns.

Chuck Schuster at 262-677-0477, musclecarman1969@hotmail.com

His card at that time stated "39 years, over 8000 columns". They might be a bit pricey, but worth a call.
