Cool 66 magazine ad

I don't recall ever seeing this ad before. I found it in the "sold" listings on ebay (RATS!)

Does anyone have one, or know where I might find one?

That is a really neat cool and spiffy ad for sure.

Does the ad indicate the dimensions of the page Carl.?

If it is a life magazine size ad it could have been in a Macleans or a Weekend or Star weekly magazine

No I don't think it did. I thought I'd seen every Canadian 66 ad until this one came along...

Looks like the bottom was clipped deleting the magazine name, date or page number. I've found many ads on my own using those clues.

If you can, why buy the singular ad when you can buy the whole magazine for the same price with a little sleuthing. The ad you originally wanted is usually in better shape and then you get some good reads and more ads of the time period.

I can see how this would appeal Car,l as you have had both ends of the 1966 spectrum yourself.  I haven't seen it myself in the mass market mags but it may have been a trade magazine of some kind. Will keep an eye out (as painful as that is....)

Carl, I just finished leafing through 1965 and 1966 Canadian Track and Traffic looking for this ad. Sorry - no go....cry

However I did find some Gorries' ads that I hadn't seen and a great article of John Cordts who road raced the Gorries 65 396 Vette...smile

Thanks a bunch for trying. That at least eliminates one option.

Carl, as you found it in ebay's "sold" listings, have you considered contacting the vendor? Maybe he has another, or can provide assistance on getting another. It's worth a shot.

If you can't find one, you could always clean up this image and print one for yourself.  Not the same as having an original, but the next best thing...
