I saved these pages long ago (I think they are Canadian, but can't confirm):

Thanks for the clarification Ryan,

Great info Darryl, the GM documents certainly tell the tale,

Now you've got me thinking about the hole location on my 65. so I compared with your 64,

d1.JPG

Looking back through some CP pictures, I found a decent picture of a 65 Parisienne from down under.

And it appears to have the "correct" black nut, so we assume it should be original, and it's not positioned on the ridge. So my 65 (right image) appears to be close to the right spot. Perhaps a little closer to the ridge though? Drilled wrong?

The 64 looks like it was positioned on the ridge for just one year 63-66, judging by it's unique part number in the group. See (2) Bezel, Radio antenna.

I edited the GM docs to put them together for ease of viewing,

Looks like that black stylized cap bezel 5171018 (6) is used 63-66, at least on the front mount. There are also a few more carry over's between years seen on the list.

Interesting to me, even if it's just a simple antenna...

Thanks Ted.

Mine is maybe 2" further forward, 1/8" further in from the ridge. It's a dealer screw up, but nobody will be the wiser.

What are you asking for it? wink

Sorry I didn't mean it was for sale.
Just posted to show location and authenticity. It's plugged into the aftermarket stereo in the glovebox. Original radio, with power supply unplugged, still occupies its original position in the dash.

Both of my 65 Beaumonts have this style tapered mast bases.

They definitely are Canadian with the spelling being catalogue.

Hey Lawrence, all this antenna talk reminds me I still have to drop off that antenna nut to you that I don't need.

I thought so (that's why I saved them), but I didn't want to mislead anyone.

Ok, so it's clairified now as to what a 65-66 full size Canadian Pontiac front fender mounted antenna looks like.

Now who has one for sale, even a base without the mast...

RE: 1963-66 AM or FM antenna, a post for antenna info here.

Well, after a long and arduous antenna quest... I now have a genuine Canadian 65 AM whip! Of course I just had to mount it in the incorrectly positioned hole, likely due to a hacker aftermarket radio installer. The car was radio delete as a pastor originally owned it. Thought maybe he couldn't listen to all that devils music in the 60's? But eventually changed his mind or the next guy added it.

I don't have a running car, but I do at least have the antenna which is cool to me. But I'm still surprised the CP had it's own unique styled bezel nut 63-66. Why not just use Chevrolet or Pontiac?

Anyway, thanks to everyone on this thread.
