Bryan Yes that jack is correct for the car which is a 1958 Laurentian 4 door sedan and looks in reasonably good shape for a wrecking yard car! But like Don said it is a fairly new arrival but has aftermarket fender mirrors on it. The base for jack is not shown but might still be there but not in plain sight. Might be worth while checking it out. Bob.

Were the jacks consistent in 58? In other years, GM seemed to have several vendors and the shape of the main shaft varied, the only thing that was the same was the bracket that fit over the shape of the bumper. This main shaft looks 4 sided, but its not perfectly square. A taper on 2 sides?

Hi Bryan, welcome from Halifax. I have always liked the 58's and really like the colour of yours! Hopefully, you will get a lot of years of enjoyment out of working on it and driving it.
It's been a while. Looking to get my car home in the next month. Do you know the owner of the Laurentian in the field?I'm curious what he would sell everything for.
