Welcome here Johnny.

The best thing to do is to contact GM Vintage Vehicle Services. They can tell you when you car was built, what options it had, who the selling dealer was and a few other little things.  There is a fee for this service.

https://www.vintagevehicleservices.com/option-info

If you want to post a picture of your tag on the firewall a lot of us here can help you with decoding that but it won't tell you as much as Vintage will tell you.

Welcome aboard.

Not much in the VIN that you don't already know.
754 = Strato Chief 8 cyl
69 = 4 door sedan
111507 = sequential production number ( the first 1 might indicate the Oshawa plant )

The GMVVS documents will have more details.

And I'm really surprised that our group hasn't already jumped in asking you to post pics of the car. We love pics.

Thanks. Cool car. Who did you inherit it from? Is it a one owner?

John, a hardy welcome aboard from Milton, Ontario. I love the 67 because it was the last year that Pontiac used those beautiful stacked head lights. Looking forward to you keeping us at C.P. informed on the work you are doing on the car and more pictures of your baby. Good luck with the 67 and enjoy the ride here at C.P. Cheers. smile

The interior colour and the look of those window cranks brings back memories of my dad's 67 Buick Special. They are identical to his.

Nice car, neat to see these plain 4 doors. Neat that it has deluxe seat belts, unusual to have that ordered on a bottom feeder Strato.

 John, by 1967 seat belts were standard issue on all cars of every model. This was federal mandated for all vehicles if sold in North America. Cheers.

Thanks everyone , I appreciate the comments. The cars name is Lydia named after the 86 year old (godmother) who had asked me to help her get it out of her garage. The car had sat for a long time in a garage at the back of her house in downtown Toronto and she was preparing to downsize(her husband had past away many years before). I believe they were the 2nd owners , story goes that they were providing (renting)a parking spot for Lydia to the original owner. Downtown Toronto parking is limited even back in the 70s . They eventually kept Lydia for almost 5o years !

I put Lydia up on a hoist at my mechanics shop and he said she was still solid. We eventually got the engine running ( new carb and basic tune up) and she runs great! The car needs rear quarters and a paint job, wondering if you guys have suggestions for tires and rims . ( sizes etc) Also any recommendations on buying rear quarters and new carpet. This was never my dream car ( I grew up with muscle cars) ( I have a few other cars Im taking car of already :) but whoever sees Lydia says she is cool. I want to clean her up and looking for any other cool ideas suggestions to do with her. Chrome pieces to look for etc Thank you

You may have to fabricate repair panels, as nobody repops them. Perhaps someone out west knows of a solid 4 door parts car that you could rob the rear 1/4's from.

As for the seat belts I meant they are the optional deluxe variety as opposed to the plainer plastic standard belts.

As for the quarters in 69 the quarters are the same for US (Catalina) and Canuck models so its very likely that the 67s were the same situation. Therefore Id keep an eye out on guys like Franks Pontiac Parts in California for 4 door Catalina quarters (Bonneville ans executives are longer). 4 door sedan and 4 door hardtop will be the same if you only use the lower half of them.

68 quarters are also the same except for the tail light area and the side marker lights

T - code Capri Cream with Fawn cloth & vinyl trim. Yes it appears to have A39 Deluxe Belts with the chrome buckles ($9 option in '67).

I love seeing old survivors. They don't need to be musclecars to be interesting.

I agree Cameron. It's the utilitarian survivor cars that interest me more than anything now.

The cars that our moms picked us up from grade school in when it was raining out.

The Strato Chief used the Chevrolet Biscayne interior with a Pontiac dash assembly & Chevy steering wheel with Pontiac horn button.

Here is a '67 Chevy equivalent of your car, right down to the colour and interior. Oh, and it is a sleeper as it was factory-equipped with a 427! Your Strato Chief ordered the same way would just say "V8", meaning anything from 283 to 427. Sneaky.

btw, as I mentioned the quarters from US Catalina are the same but the rear wheel tubs breakdown into two parts, the inner part is pure full size chevy but the outer half of the tub was a unique canadian poncho part.

As for the 427, you could always bolt one in!

 Build one!

454 block, 396 crank, buy 427 pistons and you're on your way.
