Finally a trim tag from a Canadian a/c Chevelle or Beaumont from 1967.
The only ones I have heard of were convertibles. One I heard of via documentation was a base 731-series convertible with loads of options, a low-compression 6-cylinder & a/c. Another was a blue 738-series SD-396 convertible that I still suspect was "loaded up" with options later. I really have no proof. Funny, in actually production GM would only put a/c on V8 cars in Canada initially, unlike the U.S.

A few significant things in the trim tag. Note the presence of D55 combined with the build date of 11-17. That means the A51 Sports Option was gone by then and now you could either get a 736-series Beaumont with buckets and still have a Custom, or you could get a 738-series with one of two 396s as the only engines.

As for a/c, 1966 is when they started installing it in full-size GM cars in Oshawa. 1968 was the official introduction in the Beaumonts. I do believe they did some in '67, seemingly only for export based on Monthly Listing of Vehicles Shipped reports. Since different car lines & divisions came serially down the line in Oshawa, somebody was already installing a/c system on the assembly line. 1967 Canadian Chevelle & Beaumont Parts Books & Price Lists don't say anything about a/c, in fact they denied 396 Beaumont buyers a h.d. radiator with shroud until '68. To build those '67 a/c cars they must have expedited a few special parts in after getting approval and built the few a/c Beaumonts. The firewall box opening would have had to been modified by Fisher Body, it would be interesting to see it on the car in question.
