Anyone Know how the Factory Spare Tire /Jack are tied in for 1963 Pontiac.

I have the spare tire and jack up on the back of the trunk shelf laying loose.

That's how I got it when I purchased the car.

Does anyone know how all  the jack parts and tire are supposed to be tied in

together as it was delivered from the factory?

There should be a jack label somewhere for it.

This is 63 Impala but I think it's for convertible.

We have a member that reprints labels, he may have one ?

I will chime in and say that I think the convertible stowage is different. Also our Pontiacs are different than the Impalas when it comes to the jack hook.I finally got one and it's huge! It doesn't seem to stow as the sticker shows....I'm still trying to figure it out.

I  haven't tried it out either......would have thought the Chevy would be the same.

Maybe someone can post the Pontiac Stowaway diagram?

I think the Trunk floor is the same for sure..That 64 decal is what I have seen and is how my jack fits..all except the hook?

Purely trying to go from an old memory but doesn't go like this: the base goes upside and fits in the centre of the rim, the base goes on top and then the wing nut??? I haven't tried to sort it out in my dismantled 62 but that was how I thought it went.

 Yep.

Jack "post" under spare in-between pressed "nubs" on trunk floor upper shelf. The hook stays on the "post" just outside of the spare. Wrench under spare in-between pressed "nubs" on trunk floor upper shelf.
