Has anyone stripped the paint off of plastic grilles?

Working on restoring a set of 68 Grand Prix hideaways and am getting ready to restore the plastic grille/doors. Has anyone stripped the paint off of the plastic used in the 60s for grilles? If so, what did you use?

Didnt do that but Ive stripped off the paint from my El Caminos instrument panel. Used oven cleaner and let it sit. Then used a toothbrush to remove what was left.

I realize they make paint stripper for plastic, however, I was looking for feedback on a specific product someone has actually used. I didnt know about oven cleaner...I will give it a try! Thanks!

Still working on them, but I had to use dollar store oven cleaner (caustic stuff!) as we have a shortage of oven cleaner in my area! It's working good, it just hasn't had my full attention at this point. I have them soaking in Super Clean now, which seems to also be helping.
