I am doing the exact same thing in my basement right now.

Trying to make one good set out of 2 so-so sets.

It looks like you put new actuators on them. True ? Also, your nuts and bolts look new. Did you get those as a kit ?
There are 2 rubber stoppers on each door that are held on with a nut/bolt/sleeve combo. My rubber fell apart. How was yours ?

Scott, all hardware is new, with the exception of the 2 door springs, but they work fine. New headlight bucket springs, adjusters, and trim ring screws, are also new. New door actuators and stainless steel nuts, bolts, and screws, where I could use them. The door stops I ordered new. The rubber is just fuel line cut to fit and slipped over the shoulder bolt. The kits for the nylon door bushings and for the door stops, are for '68-'69 GTO. They are the same as the Grand Prix. I have $550 into these, including buying the assemblies for $125. If someone needs these, I would let them go for $500 plus shipping. I look at it as another classic car part saved and it was fun doing it!

I have a complete front 68 GP Hideaway bumper, but it was missing a few things including a headlight bucket and some retainer rings. The one thing that was elusive was the adjusters, I couldn't find them anywhere. I then noticed they were the same as my 72 GMC, so salvaged some from some old pick-ups. Where did you find them?

I found the adjusters on EBay. They did not say they were for a 68 GP, but looked identical.
