'69 Impala/Canadian Full-Size TH400 Cross Shaft & Bracket

I've been kind of "needy" lately, but somebody always comes through with my needs, so here I go again....I am looking for a TH400 cross shaft frame bracket and cross shaft for a '69 Impala/Canadian full-size. The cup on my bracket is extremely worn from the previous owner replacing the nylon bushing with a metal one. Metal on metal doesn't fair too well. The shaft saw some wear in the area of the bushing too. Shipping would be to Florida. Thanks for the help! Here's a diagram of what I am looking for:

Thought I might have at least a good cross shaft for you Rob, but the arm looks to be at the wrong angle. I think it's 67 TH400.

Just to let everyone know, the Cross shaft and the frame bracket for the 400 is unique to 69/70.

I should have a good 69/70 setup for you, I'll take a peek in the garage tomorrow afternoon. I'm sure I have one complete setup, and other that is missing a couple pieces.

Stay tuned.

Hi... You are chasing parts in Canada while you are in Florida??? Reverse psychology?? Google 65-65 pont/chev parts in Florida. You should find ALL kinds of wrecking yards close to Orlando and "out in the sticks" with great rust free parts....

Just a thought..

Thanks Bob. I recently moved to Florida almost 3 years ago and am a Michigan born and raised native. I knew all the parts sources and people I could trust, while living there. Down here...it's a crap shoot! I am on this site, because of the wealth of knowledge and resources from good HONEST people wanting to help a fellow CP owner, regardless of where they live. If monetarily, I can help support this site and help out some of the "parts collector" members too, I'm all in! These guys have helped me from the beginning of when I got my car. It is hard to find a site with such a great group of members, that are willing to help a foreigner like myself. I will support that 'til I take my last breath. It may take a little longer and cost a few more bucks for parts, but I would rather help out good people with the common commitment to keeping CP's on the road! Just my honest opinion.

Nice opinion, a different spin on buy local and its worth staying with people who know their stuff, you can trust what they say and know. In the US, a Canadian Pontiac might as well be a Fiat to some, they know nothing about them and dont care to learn. Not true in all cases of course.

The quality of the replies you got demonstrates what you said.

Hi...Wasn't ridiculing you in any way. I would love to be in Florida, like usual this time of year, looking for parts.

Check some of those local wrecking yards out. Don't tell them its a Parisienne, its a Catalina!! With the way shipping, duties, customs have treated me the last 6 months trying to get parts from The USA to Canada I would be looking local. Number one, you can check the quality of the part first hand. ( my opinion of mint and yours will be different) Number two, you can source parts for guys on the site and put some $$ in your pocket.

Your answer was great.. "run with the guys that brung ya". But some days you need to branch out....

Here you go, it complete with the bracket mount bolts, and the bushing.   I suspect you don't need the shaft that goes up to the column.

My 2nd set is missing the bushing and small washer.

That looks good. No, I don't need the column shaft. All I need is the bracket and cross shaft, as I have a new bushing/spring and bolt set. So, you can use the extra parts for your 2nd set.biggrin Send me a PM with the $ details. Thanks!
