Are you running the full stock 66 wheel discs, or dogdishes?

Although it's very subjective, I'd say, Full Caps = Whitewalls, Dogdish = Blackwalls imop. In 235/70/15's all round.

For blackwalls, I went with Cooper Cobra 15". 235/60/15 on a x 7" front wheel, and a 245/60/15 on a x 8" rear.

Of all the blackwall sport type tires, the Coopers seem to have a good selection of sizes, good reviews and they are priced reasonable and below Radial T/A's.

As far as whitewalls, I think they have become pretty limited in the 15".

14 was stock. I don't know about 15's in 66? Maybe someone could chime in on that?

But you're in a better spot with 15's, other than not being able to fit 14" full caps, you have a much better tire selection. dogdishes will fit 14 or 15, same cap diameter.

I went with all new Wheel vintiques series 62 in 7 and 8".

Correct, nothing but 14's in 66. 67 had 15's available because of disc brakes.

And on that, did they have to be Rally's to fit disc brakes 67-70, even on the single piston?

It seems to me that 67-68 used a black painted rally wheel under a wheel cover if you didn't order rallys, and for 69 they came out with a plain steel rim, 15" to clear the brakes.

The 69 Grande Parisienne 427 car I parted had disc brakes and full wheel covers with plain rims under the covers. The car was sold new here in town and only had 2 senior owners prior to me buying it so I doubt it had been altered in any way.

I'm assuming they were just like the wheel Vintiques series 62's I have? Same cove in the center.

In 67-68 I think it must have had to be a rally to clear the 4 piston caliper.

Sorry, yes I meant to say "It seems to me that 67-68 used a black painted rally wheel under a wheel cover if you didn't order rallys but ordered disc brakes."

I had a white on red 65 Parisienne convt until 1996 and I used a variety of wheels & tires on it. The largest were 225-70 15s on 15 by 8 rally wheels, which fit very well, as did similar tires on 15 by 7 rally wheels. No interference in either case. But I preferred it with the optional 14 by 6 wheels that it came with, either with the dog dish caps or the 65 spinner wheel covers. Sometimes I ran it with skirts, and sometimes without. Either way it looked beautiful.
