Last of the parisiennes spotted at winnipeg wrecking yard


about the only semi vintage thing I saw - it was in the GM lot today

 Actually, 87 was the last year. My dad had an 86, like the one in the picture. It had the 305 in it, that ran for 325,000 miles before the floor and body rusted out making it not drivable. The drivetrain was rock solid! Too bad the sheet metal wasnt better in the eighties.

 Did the US have an 87 Parisienne? I don't think we had a sedan in Canada,  there might have been a wagon still.

Looking online I can't find even a wagon in 1987. I don't think I've ever seen any 1987 Parisienne. Now I'm curious!

 I am mistaken. 1987 brought the body change and front wheel drive. Sorry for the confusion!confuse

So 1986 for Parisienne, wiki says 1989 for Safari.

I can actually see a lot of similarities in design between that final shape Parisienne and the GMH WB Caprice in Australia. Achieved differently but very similar design cues, these were sold here from (calendar years) 1980 until early 1985.
