Wanted to buy a hood and a wiper cowl vent for 1962 US Pontiac Bonneville, Grand Prix, Catalina or Star Chief. Only US parts will fit. Cowl vent is for 2 speed wipers with crossover wiper pattern.
John, a fellow in Charlottetown used to have 62 US cars, maybe Todd or Darryl knew him. How hard are hoods to find?

Thanks Don.This is the car I am shopping for. I bought it in Nova Scotia in 2019. Unfortunately the hood was damaged on the transporter when the cars brakes failed. I can make a Canadian hood work with mods but Id prefer to get a US hood If possible.
I was told that the owner in Charlottetown passed away. The car was then purchased by a guy living just outside Halifax in NS. I bought it from him sight unseen in 2019, after missing out on it earlier when it was for sale from PEI. (It was flagged on this site when it was for sale in Charlottetown, but it lasted only a couple of days). It's very solid and restorable and I would not have had too much to do with the body had it not cracked into a steel rail on the car carrier.
Guy I knew in lower sackville has a 62 2 door post from North Carolina, the hood on it was damaged when someone stood on it en route, put a crease in the center. He got another one from North Carolina.

Yes I saw his car when I was in NS in 2019 to see what i had bought. I bought some parts from him. He has a very nice car indeed, built it to his taste.
