Was a six cylinder auto with power steering. Has a 12 bolt diff with 4 control arms. Solid frame, not moused out though there is a hole above the interior light so there was probably at some time. Kids poked out the tailights, comes with another set. Trunk is not rotted out behind the wheelhouses because as we know there are no body mounts there in four door cars, and its not rusted out below the tailights as most are. Bottom of the front fenders and dogleg on one side are rusted and a little bit of one rear quarter on the right side. Gas tank seems ok as I had the six running for a while before I pulled it out.
A guy on Facebook was rear ended in his 66 so I sent him your Kijiji link. Figured he could use the rear tail panel etc. Surprised he didn't contact you. That car looks like a decent low buck builder. "All the good stuff is out west"
Wooops, too many 66s around here, just hit the 6 key out of habit. I'd correct the heading if i could figure out how. As for the 12 bolt four link diff, that's a common thing in six cylinder cars, at least around these parts. In fact I've found over the years way more three link ten bolts behind 283 cars than six cylinder biscaynes and strato chiefs. I'll post pics when it stops raining.
And there wouldn't be a 12-bolt behind a stovebolt.
As Cheviac states, that's one of the quirks of Canadian Pontiacs, the 6 cylinder 12 bolt oddity. My uncle ordered a brand new 65 Laurentian, 6 w/3 on the tree and a posi. It came with a 12 bolt!
Some Canadian Cutlasses around 68-69 also had the 6 cylinder/12 bolt combo.
