Twin 59 Chevy Vikings

I might be a little twisted, but if I won a lottery or had a large place to store them I'd have to pick these up.  Something about old medium duty trucks just seem super cool to me... What would I do with them?  Restore one, turn the other into a ramp truck/flatdeck hauler?  Large street rod?  Lawn art?  Drive as-is?  I dunno... I just like them.  wink

Twin 59 Chevy Vikings

$4,000

Description

I have two 1959 Chevy Viking 60 trucks. The one on the right has active Alberta registration, runs, drives, stops but I don't take it on the road anymore. Both trucks have rust issues above the windshield and cab corners. Floors are decent. Truck on the left has no engine or transmission. Maybe a little bit better cab than the one on the right. I was told it was an Alberta truck but not sure how long since it was registered. Will sell as package deal or separately. $4000 for the pair or $3000 for the running one and $1500 for the one with no drivetrain. I'm 15 minutes east of Edmonton, just north of Hwy 16. Delivery negotiable. May look at trades.

1959 Chevrolet Truck

Big blue is a 1959 Chevrolet Viking 60 with 16,000 capacity. Blue has a rebuilt 235 cubic inch 6 cylinder engine and a 4 speed GM 420 transmission with a two speed rear differential. All new brakes and complete hydraulics replaced. New tires and lights good glass and even has two original working T3 headlamps. Blue is from a wheat farm and was only used 1 month out of the year for hauling crops off the field. Only surface rust no major damage and real nice "Patina" This truck runs and drives like a new 1959 truck. A real time piece that is fully insured and Alberta Antique registered . The deck is steel and fully hydraulic with twin 2 stage rams . I will entertain offers around the $12500 range, Blue is for sale not on sale. Serious individuals can msg me for more pictures or better yet schedule a time to view in person as there is no disappointments with this truck. Drive as is or turn it in too an Antique bed truck to haul cars as pictured in last picks Or a really cool Landscaping or Construction hauler. Must be seen in person to appreciate his current condition. Its available in Calgary Alberta and I will remove the ad when sold. No pay pal nonsense Serious questions welcome please don't waste my or your time. Trade value at 15k

Me too.  I like 'em all.  The COE has a presence, though.

Technically, that's a short bumper-to-back-of-cab conventional.  The engine is mostly ahead of the cowl, with a "hump" in the firewall for the back couple of cylinders.  THIS is a COE.  Drove several of them for Neilson's (now Nestle) back in the early '70s.

Still, a neat old truck, and would be great done up with an LS or an 8.3L Cummins, and a beavertail hauler body.
