As far as moving the mount back and fourth to the different holes changing the pinion angle? No Idea, but it certainly looks like it would. Bottom hole moves the pinion plane down relative to the top hole position. So when down, in order to equalize it, adding shims to the top mounts would bring it back up?

Anyone know if F41 or wagons had the shims behind the UCA frame mounts that all others did not?

If the rear axle housing bolted directly to the arms, like a coil spring gm truck, then yes if might make a small difference, but seeing as it is bushing/pin mounted, that slight change won't change the pinion angle any noticeable amount if any at all.

True. The elastomeric bushing negates any real difference. It all moves around some anyway.

I would remove the lower arms and weld 1/8 plate under them to close the open area. This will prevent the arms from flexing due to that swaybar.. I did that to mine making it a solid square form.

When I swapped my 65 wagons frame to a 67 frame everything bolted up fine except the uppers were the wrong size for the 67 frame.I couldnt remember which bolt holes and of course I used the wrong one. If its 50-50 I usually pick the wrong 50. From the thread of last year regarding these bolt holes I redid them last summer. But that changed how the pan hard bolted up. And I had to lengthen that.I cannot attest to any difference in ride. It seems the same to me.But it may have something to do with the HD suspension and for the larger Wagon size.I had the shims in uppers but I didnt re-install them. As it seemed to be a super minimal shim. But I would love to know the reasoning why for these bolt holes. Definitely an engineering thing.
