1961 4 door strato chief

They have a great heater, good enough to drive it home from Saskatchewan in the winter, if it was hooked up. The few times I used mine in my old cars, I doubt it was sk cold though.

A drive home in the salt spray would essentially dissolve this car. The underside appears it's JUST at that point you could save it without too much extensive metal replacement.

Maybe we can work out a package deal on shipping Mark. There's a car near Calgary I'd like to buy but that's still in the preliminary stages. Not a Pontiac of any sort before anyone gets all curious. Not even a big block or a 4 speed...

That would be the ticket Carl.

The closest member on the "Help a fellow member" is in Regina. But that is a 3 hour trip each way.

I know a car guy in the area of the 61 but sadly his reputation is such that I would not suggest you getting him involved.

Todd, you might want to check Carl's account to see if it's been hacked...

It's been rumoured Carl also has a fetish for vintage Hyundai's. Can't confirm though.

When I was hospitalized in August and they had me on morphine, that was the case. I'm fine now though. I'm back to normal which means just the thought of any vehicle remotely connected to the name Hyundai triggers the gag reflex in me.

I seem to recall when I visited you all those years ago when we went to the wreckers you asked the owner "Any Pony's come in?" and when the owner said "No, just a few old Chevelle's and other GM cars" you'd shake your head and we'd have to leave. confuse

We used to have a Swift Current member who posted here but for the life of me I can't remember details about him. I know at one point years back I told him that the next time we go to Alberta I'd contact him to meet for a coffee or something on our way through.
