Wow! Does anyone know the story about this car? I see no GMVVS docs listed.

Looks like a ford 9 inch rear axle? Too bad theres not enough time to get the GM docs. Would love to see how accurate their version of its canadian heritage is?

Looks totally legit to me, especially for being so far south. Anyone care to run the VIN ?

Appears to be a "real" one!! Has the ballast resister on firewall and return fuel line from filter [ both 409 only] + larger fuel lines! If not real someone went to a lot of trouble doing a "Clone" but I don't think so, pretty sure it's REAL!!!!

You can call GMVVS and have them do a rush to get you the docs right away.

Definitely not an original car. The casting date on the transmission is 1980! Was a Borg Warner t-10 available in a 1964 Pontiac?

Only one upper rear trailing arm, i believe that all 4 speed cars had two upper trailing arms.
and posi diffs came in a lot of 6 cyl.cars.

Nice car but the under coating doesnt do it for me.

Very cool. He could be "FAKE_64" here! What a nice job putting this car together. Yes, it has the Chevy detail on the air cleaner and some other things pointed out that may not be correct but who cares! It's a great looking car.

Dont think any x frame cars had a second upper control arm. Also, no 4 speed with a 6.

Its a very nice car. It would have taken a lot of time and money to build that car. As far as I know, no X frame Chevrolet or Canadian Pontiacs got four rear control arms. Even the 1963 Z-11 427 cars only came with three control arms. People racing these cars did add a fourth control arm but I am sure that none came from the factory.

Ya, regardless of the 409 transplant,   that is one of the nicest original suvivor bodies and interior i have ever seen!

Pete,  i totally agree with you on the undercoating,  it was the first thing that popped into my head, what a letdown(and nightmare to work on)

I like the original carpet and those header dumps. One nice car to be sure. That colour is tops.

Would a 409 smoke a good 327 by much?

I think it was posted here thread with the 409 racing the new 65 396 . The L79 327 had 350hp against the 396 with 325

Wouldnt the 396 in the 1965 be the L78 with 425 HP ?

Thought the 325 HP version was in later years.
