My Swedish buddy bought one new, didnt like black and didnt like all the chrome trim Lao had the dealer remove all the trim and paint it burgundy. It worked very good. He kept taking it back to the dealer-3 or 4 times- he said there was something wrong with the transmission. They kept saying nothing they could find. They finally opened it up to find out first gear wasnt working. It was pulling away in second, had so much low end torque, most people couldnt tell. It had one of those stupid led flashing lights rectangular tachs on the dash under the speedo, useless.

I had an 87 Celebrity with that same tach, automatic with bucket seats and console, 4 door. Used to drive a lot, I bought a demo each year with low miles for a good price, sold it a year later for a few thousand less than I paid for it. Next was an 88 Olds international, then an 89 Bonneville SSE. All were GM Executive demos.
