Melanson Motors is proud to offer this incredible 1961 Pontiac Parisienne Bubbletop. This car is a beautiful and excellent driving example. This Pontiac is presented in its exceptional, and original color combination of Richelieu Blue with a Shelltone Ivory roof. Sold new at Century Motors Ltd. in Swift Current, Saskatchewan this Parisienne still wears its original dealer badge on the trunk lid! It has been lovingly cared for by owners in Saskatchewan, Alberta and Ontario, with full ownership history known from day one. The 1961 Parisienne was a very rare Canadian model of which only 1345 2 Door Hardtops are believed to be produced. It is the Canadian version of a Ventura. These cars both had a 4 inch shorter wheelbase than the Bonneville making them lighter and better proportioned. They also featured a striking tri-tone deluxe interior. 1961 was considered the high water mark for GM automotive design! Pontiac introduced the Bubbletop design and waterfall style split grille. By 1962, the bubbletop was no longer offered by Pontiac making the 61 models a unique one year only design which is loved by the masses and highly sought after by collectors. This particular example is a rust free car with original panels. The car has had one repaint, but original paint can be seen on the inside of the trunk lid. The interior is also believed to be mostly original. The incredible tri-tone seats and door panels are in great shape. The gauges are clear and the dash is nice. This Pontiac has power disc brakes and power steering. It starts and drives very well. The transmission is smooth shifting and the car is an excellent cruiser. This bubbletop has been upgraded with a stainless exhaust system. All glass is in great shape with no cracks or chips visible. The 15 Cragar wheels are wrapped in 235/70 radial tires. An excellent opportunity to own a rare and beautiful Pontiac!
