I can't speak to A-body cars, but on B-body cars to switch from 2 pedals to 3 you just: - pull out the big pin that the brake pedal pivots on, - pull out the old brake pedal, - put in the new brake pedal, - insert clutch pedal that has a big pin attached to it. - insert rubber bumper for clutch pedal in slot already provided. There's no big brackets to change, etc. (there's a few bits & pieces to deal with too, but nothing major)
From my experience, correct for the 62 and 63s, 61 and prior had a few idiotsyncrosys. Very easy. Havent done anything newer.

Mahone Bay, NS Still not old enough to need an automatic
Well I am hoping it is the same for A body cars. Thank you. I have ordered a clutch pedal kit for a 66 Chevelle. It DOES NOT include the clutch pedal plate. I will be using my original auto brake pedal plate. If this swap works I will post my results so anyone else who does this swap, console automatic to console standard, will not have the same issues I had.
