Congratulations on being car of the month. A great honour for a very special car. Been a long time since we last talked. What a great story and wonderful car. Thank you for rescuing a very important piece of Canadian Automotive history. From obscurity and the fate of being crushed and lost forever. A car even rarer than the "holy grail car" the American 1965 Chevelle Malibu SS 396 Z16.
There are still other cars to possibly be found. One just has to keep looking. Like the L79 equipped Canadian built Chevelles. Enjoyed reading your story and the two side bar stories.

lots of stories for sure, another one is a mistake by the factory. The original owner told me from the factory the car was shipped with white windlace on one side and black on the other. I bought both colours but ended up just putting on the black
Love everything about this. The story, the restoration, and of course the finished result. Not many people can see these things through. Great job to all involved.
When I first read this I thought "FAKE" ..but then realized it's your car not Carls..... As everything you do Kevin,,top of the line! Great story..great car! I just gotta ride in it one day! Seriously..you are one out sanding builder! Hard pressed to find nicer!
We all know how impossible it is to find the side chrome and I had to buy whole cars to get pieces. Most needed repairs, hard to do being aluminum . Another 65 SD owner contacted me knowing I had all 8 pieces. We agreed to meet so he could look at them as he only had one of the 8. He brought along an 84 year old tool and die maker who showed me a wooden buck covered in felt he made to shape the parts. I quickly handed over the set to him to take and he agreed to make me 2 new sets. He used the same material as original and they turned out perfect. DT made them out of stainless and charged $2200 for a set at first then bumped up to $4200 This guy charged me $700 a set. Very grateful for him doing this.
WOW!!! Very talented car guy to pull this off and such a beautiful car! Congratulations and a well deserved spot at the top of the page. Spring cant get here soon enough!!
Kevin that is an interesting story on the side trim. Nice you were able to have it done in aluminum. I never liked the idea of the stainless repro or the whole dt concept. Well done. It sets your car apart

MY BEAUMONT HAS 4 STUDDED TIRES AND 2 BLOCKHEATERS......AND LOTS OF OIL UNDERNEATH. The other one has a longer roof.
Wow. What a beauty. So glad this ended up in the right hands and has been brought back to amazing condition. Thanks for sharing your story. What a great car.
Yet another story, looking for parts I would enter Beaumont in the search bar of EBay. One day a complete NOS taillight shows up and it said 2 weeks delivery. It was in Chile of all places
