Trying to order some parts from Rock auto. Opened an account, where do you enter the discount code?
Can't find it, or do you have to be an established customer?

On another note. If you ship to a commercial address you can also save more! Went from my home address to work address and saved another 2.50 on a small order ! So ship to a business if you can.
I just had my first issue with Rock Auto. I ordered an alternator for my 94 Park Ave. This is my second try. The first one was a Delco that I ordered on Amazon (PN matched what Rock Auto said). The electrical plug was wrong. So.. I ordered a non Delco on Rock Auto. The plug was wrong (3 pin instead of 4), the pulley is wrong (too narrow), and the orientation of both the harness plug and battery feed terminal is wrong. I arranged a refund however Rock Auto is telling me the cost of the shipping back is higher than the cost of the Alternator and I could send back "at my own expense". This is why I bought the first alternator on Amazon in the first place- they have an excellent return policy.
I'll buy local (and likely pay double) so I can at least verify I'm getting the right one.

Yes, Rock Auto is cheaper, but don't think about returning something. Return shipping is often cost prohibitive.
Anyone notice the price of shipping has gotten ridiculous? Was on their site yesterday to order a few things ( dome light lens, 2 door jamb switches, an 2 oil filters). Parts came to $29 went to check out and the cheapest shipping was over $60. Needless to say, I emptied my cart.

Yes, my purchasing from Rock Auto has dropped significantly for exactly that reason. It takes a big order to make it worthwhile now.
