I'm pretty sure 1965 Catalina fuzzies will be the right ones. About 12 years ago I put 1966 Grand Prix (US model) fuzzies in a 1966 Grande Parisienne.

I would think Chev Impala would fit. They will be more available than the Poncho....Do your homework on the manufacturers, one or two make them and the big guys (Classic) resell them...with a mark up...

Carl can probably qualify this statement on if the Chevy will fit..

RePops offed the Cat Whiskers brand,  REM also made a nice product but not available retail; PUI  had them also but purchased them some where else. Most likely most of the general stock suppliers offer them

I recall reading on one of the forums that a guy had tried Chevy and they didn't fit, so I'd hesitate to recommend trying that.

The Cat Whiskers I got from NOS at that time worked well once I realized they needed some minor tweaking. It's a patience thing, if you take your time they will work well.

Make your own using the stripped and cleaned out old metal bases, and attach new Amazon fuzzy roll strip to them. PL glue and clamp them back in place. I did it on my 65 post, and they look the part as far as I'm concerned. It sounds ridiculous, but it actually worked and it looks legit.

They end up fuzzy enough to touch and hold the glass from rattling, and nobody cares or looks in there anyway do they?

Or find the actual fuzzies.

I didn't even think of that option way back when I did mine but I recall you posting that and seeing how well it turned out Mark.

In my case at least one of the metal bases was in pretty rough shape and it needed to be replaced. That may be a bit unusual though.

I know the very best way is to probably just replace them, but I thought I'd at least give it a try as my bases were still decent. Sure, the chrome looked shot, but they took silver paint just fine. It was a McGiver, but it all turned out good enough for my beater.

Stripping the old felt out of the base took some time I'll admit. I actually used a sharp chisel that fit in the track, and basically got behind the old felt and pushed it off and out. It was pretty rotten, so it wasn't that bad.

But the one real shortcut I made was to simply glue them back on the upper panels with PL Premium. The new vinyl beneath was also glued and clamped to the upper panel, so It shouldn't lift.

I can't imagine trying to run new wire or staples through a new fuzzy base and into the upper panels. If you had a industrial stapler, then maybe, but gluing them on actually worked really well. How would you guys do it?

I think this was the amazon felt strip I used,

I believe there is a Automotive fastener place in Kitchener that can supply the fuzzies. Forget the name, somebody here should know. Hello Bill...

Impala won't work. Impala has a wide reveal molding along the 1/4 window and door. Pontiac does not. Order Catalina original style readily available !

Just a note on impala vs Parisienne fuzzies. On my 64 Parisienne they use a U shaped clip, but the Impale are screwed in place.
I used RePop brand, but be warned the cut edge of the stainless has to be sanded smooth or your passengers forearm will bleed on your paint.

I think I've been talking about the wrong thing. The OP is needing the outer glass sweep, not the fuzzy right?
