Well, finally bit the bullet and ordered some metal for the car. Its only been sitting for 30 years(since Ive owned it) so its about time. Full floor and trunk will be here in a month. Going to keep gathering everything and start on it in the spring

Well, I spoke too soon. I asked my dad last week what his favourite car was and what hed ultimately like to have. 1967 Chevelle was his answer. I thought he was going to say his 55 Chev.  Sooooo, Im doing the 67 Chevelle SS 396-350 HP car first. Going to go pick it up in the next couple of weeks.  Id like to have it done for him to enjoy if at all possible. Needs a little love but Id do anything for that man. Hes 77 now and still works his ass off every single day, so he more than deserves for me to at least try. Beaumont will get the back burner for now, maybe sell it down the road.time will tell. Cheers

Having met your dad a few times I can verify hes a great guy so if its a 67 chevelle he likes that is the way to go. We have similar taste in vehicles but a 55 is still top dog for me. Maybe you can make use of some of those shelves full of big block parts he was saving.

Thanks Randy. Yes the 55 is a very close second for him, but the Chevelle trumps it. He bought one brand new in 67 so it has more meaning to him. I am using one of the complete 396 motors that he has for the car. I have an M-20 for it too so it should be a decent car when completed. Hope I can get things rolling asap. Wish me luck

That is true. I went down to grab the rotisserie, the 348 motors, and other bits, but decided to take the Beaumont and the rotisserie instead

Don't you hate it when old cars follow you home?

Nice score!

Ordered a bunch more metal for the car. Already have a full floor with braces and inner rockers. Also have a full trunk pan with braces and passenger quarter. Ordered drop offs, inner and outer wheel houses, outer rockers and tail panel. Sad to say but I still need a ton more. I hope this ends well. Fingers crossed

Goodmark. AMD is better but getting stuff here is a pain. I have a buddy that owns a small parts store that gets deliveries from the states every few weeks so he gets my stuff sent with those deliveries and I basically get the shipping charge for nothing. Only problem is that he can only get Goodmark metal. Requires a bit of finessing but it works pretty good.
Good example is on Goodmark website a drivers side quarter is $677.60 US ($908.43 CDN). He can cave it landed here in Nova Scotia for $822.15 with shipping broker fees duty and taxes in. Thats cheaper than the exchange right off the bat so Ill definitely work with what he can get me!

Gillis,

Just read through all the replies in this thread. Great to read and see another 1967 Beaumont SD is being restored back to the street. I'm guessing your Beaumont SD is a 73817 car, instead of the A51 Sport Option model car. Thirty years to get your restoration doesn't matter. As the restoration in now under way. Nice factory colour combination. Lower body exterior paint code K = Emerald Turquoise, upper body exterior vinyl top colour Top27 = Black. With interior code 763 = Black vinyl bucket seat Mid year or late production car? Any interesting options on your Beaumont Sport Deluxe?

But when you are done, it will look a lot like Kevin's 66 !

It will be worth it.
